These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Accentwork (the "Service"), operated by [Accentwork legal entity — TBD] ("we," "our," "us"). By creating an account or downloading the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Accentwork is a desktop application distributed as a direct download for macOS. Some features are free; certain features (collectively, the "Paid Features") require an active subscription.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
Paid Features are billed on a recurring basis through our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel.
You may cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access through that period.
Refund Policy
We offer refunds for the most recent billing period if you request one within 14 days of the charge by emailing [email protected]. Refunds beyond 14 days are at our discretion. Refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor.

Accentwork service specifics
- Third-party AI providers. Speech is produced by sending your selected
text through third-party AI services — currently Anthropic (text direction) and ElevenLabs (speech synthesis), or the equivalent providers configured for the service. Provider availability, quality, and content policies are outside our control; if a provider declines or fails to process a request, the Service may fall back to a plainer voice or decline that request.
- AI-generated audio. The narration is generated by AI. It aims to be
faithful to your selection but may mispronounce, mis-emphasize, or misread text. Don't rely on it as the sole channel for information where a mistake matters (legal, medical, financial, safety).
- Early release. Accentwork is in active early development ("beta").
Features, voices, limits, and APIs may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued as the product evolves. We'll communicate material changes, but the Service is provided with beta-level stability expectations.
- Fair use of the free tier. The free plan includes a generous daily
listening allowance intended for personal use. We may adjust allowance sizes, throttle automated or abusive usage patterns, or require an upgrade for sustained heavy use, so the free tier stays fast and free for everyone.
